Navigating Medicare can feel overwhelming with the number of plans, rules, and details involved.
Because each person’s needs are different, having personalized guidance tailored to your situation can help you bring clarity and confidence to your decisions.

Medicare Supplement insurance works with Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) to help pay some of the out-of-pocket costs that Medicare does not cover, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. When you receive care, Medicare pays its share first. The Medicare Supplement plan may then help pay some of the remaining costs, depending on the plan. The plan will not cover prescription drugs (Part D, PDP). These plans generally allow you to see any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare. While premiums may change over time, the benefits of the plan remain the same from year to year.

Medicare Advantage plans are an alternative way to receive your Medicare Part A (hospital) and Part B (medical) benefits. These plans are offered by private insurance companies that are approved by Medicare. If you enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan, you still have Medicare, but your coverage is provided through the private plan rather than directly through Original Medicare. Most Medicare Advantage plans include hospital coverage, medical coverage, and often prescription drug coverage, all combined in one plan.

Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (Part D) help cover the cost of prescription medications. These plans are offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare and can be added to Original Medicare or certain other Medicare plans without drug coverage. Each plan has its own list of covered medications, called a formulary, and drugs are usually placed into different tiers, which can affect what you pay. In general, medications in lower tiers cost less than those in higher tiers.
